The saving grace is that hot sauce and BBQ sauce are provided for your own saucing needs. However, lack of heat makes it accessible to kids and spice intolerant folks. However, this food will be tasty to the average culinary palete: I detected no anchovies in the ceasar dressing and this was the first time I had jerk chicken without a hint of spicy heat, and the other food options were sparsely seasoned (esp the rice). My biggest gripe with bajan food is that it’s underwhelmingly seasoned-a nod to their British colonists. The food was good and well portioned-just different than other Caribbean national dishes so don’t come with those expectations. Sides were traditional bajan: macaroni pie, pumpkin veggie medley, roasted potatoes, Ceasar salad or bean salad, and yellow rice. Different meat options are given: chicken, fish, and beef. Bajan appetizers (albeit tiny servings) are provided along with a welcome drink (rum punch). The performing cast are top notch singers, dancers, and performers. Within the entertainment segments, there are lessons of history and culture along with the music.
